CADParametric modeling & simulation
Every build starts as geometry. Concepts become parametric 3D models, assemblies and simulation-ready parts — engineered for how they'll actually be made.

Cognitaur is a youth-led innovation lab — designing, machining, printing, coding and inventing across seven disciplines.
Every build starts as geometry. Concepts become parametric 3D models, assemblies and simulation-ready parts — engineered for how they'll actually be made.

Digital models cut into real material. Tight-tolerance parts milled and routed from metal, wood and composites — where a design earns its place in the physical world.

Iterate in hours, not weeks. FDM and resin workflows turn revisions into held-in-hand prototypes — the fastest loop between an idea and testing whether it works.

Code is the through-line. Ayushmaan Bellum has taught Python to 400+ young learners and writes the C++ that drives the lab's robots — turning software into a language kids can build real things with.

Where mechanical design, electronics and code converge. Sensors, actuators and embedded control combine into machines that move, sense and decide.

Open-ended exploration that feeds everything else — taken all the way to publication. Ayushmaan Bellum co-authored "Zeroing In: The Power of PID in Next-Gen Robotics," a peer-reviewed study of PID control published in the National High School Journal of Science (2025).

An AI-powered pressure-monitoring system that helps prevent pressure injuries (bedsores) before visible damage occurs — an FSR sensor mat streaming to a companion app with an AI model that flags risk early.

An automated medication-dispensing device that delivers the right dose at the right time — engineered to make daily medication safer, simpler and harder to get wrong.

A smart QR-powered health navigation tool that turns discharge papers and care plans into clear, AI-simplified instructions — with medication and follow-up reminders, progress tracking, multilingual support and a low-tech-friendly design.

Ayushmaan Bellum is the founder and lead of Cognitaur Innovation Lab — a young engineer, maker, teacher and entrepreneur working across design, manufacturing, code and robotics. He builds fluently in CAD, machines his own parts on CNC, prototypes with 3D printing, writes the software that drives his robots, and researches what comes next.
He's also a teacher, a competitor, a published author and an inventor. Ayushmaan Bellum captains VEX Robotics Team 29712C "Cognitaur" — a World Championship qualifier, has taught Python to over 400 young learners, programs robotics in C++, co-authored a peer-reviewed robotics study in the National High School Journal of Science, and holds three patent-pending inventions — Dermalytix, Robopyll and QRHealthX. A student at Laurel Springs School (Class of 2028) based in Folsom, California, his honors include Conrad Innovator at the Conrad Global Challenge (2026) for Dermalytix, 1st place at the Code for Impact Hackathon for SunShiftAI, 3rd place in Applied Engineering at the California Regional STEM Competition (2026), the Think Award at the California State Championship, 3rd place worldwide in the RECF CAD Design Challenge, the Presidential Volunteer Service Award (Gold), congressional recognition for student STEM innovation, and a feature on CBS Good Day Sacramento.
Beyond building, he leads. Cognitaur is his platform to run hands-on camps, mentor peers, open internships, and partner with professionals and industry — turning individual skill into a community and a venture.
"Designed by mind. Made by machine. Led by one — built for many."
Learn to think in 3D. Sketch, model and assemble your first parametric parts, then prep them for real manufacturing.
Take a design from screen to shelf. Slice and print a prototype, then machine a finished part with proper tolerances.
Build a machine that moves and senses. Wire sensors and actuators, write control code, and bring a small robot to life.
Tell us which session you'd like to join. Spots are limited and confirmed on a first-come basis — we'll follow up by email with dates and details.
We open a small number of internships for students and early-career makers who want real bench time — not coffee runs. You'll work alongside the founder on live projects across the five pillars and leave with a portfolio, not just a certificate.
Apply to internModel parts and assemblies for real builds; learn design-for-manufacture.
Run 3D printers and assist on CNC jobs from setup to finished part.
Wire, program and test mechatronic systems and prototypes.
Document experiments and help publish the lab's findings and builds.
Help run Python and robotics sessions for younger learners.
Cognitaur is open to professionals, industry partners and institutions — for collaboration, sponsorship, guest mentorship, or simply a conversation about what we're making. If you value young talent moving fast across design and manufacturing, let's talk.
